As part of a growth initiative, we aimed to increase awareness and usage of critical features—both valuable for the business and essential for users to perceive ongoing value.
A user survey revealed that only 60% of our user base was aware of key product features. At the same time, we noticed a behavioral pattern: users were depositing funds and quickly moving them out, without exploring additional functionality.
To address this, we ran a low-cost experiment by adding contextual prompts on the “congrats” screen shown after a successful deposit. These banners highlighted relevant features and encouraged users to explore them immediately after funding their account.
This simple cross-sell moment was designed to meet users at a high-engagement point, without adding friction.
The experiment drove a ~7% click-through rate on the banners. Conversion into each feature varied, confirming interest but also helping us understand which features had more pull.
